Canada Polar Bear Tour | Hudson Bay Odyssey

Day 1 Winnipeg | Arrival Arriving in Winnipeg today, make your own way to The Grand by Lakeview at Winnipeg Airport. Here you will enjoy a relaxing stay for one night before traveling to the remote Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge. At 7pm, Churchill Wild hosts an informative orientation chat where you can meet your fellow travelers over refreshments and anticipate your departure from civilization. (Dinner included today)

Day 2 Winnipeg to Churchill | Flight + Orientation + Coastline Exploration Rising early this morning, depart Winnipeg for Churchill on Calm Air International and transfer to a private charter for your one-hour flight to Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, your hosts will provide a tour and show you to your room to get settled. Lunch is served shortly after and you will then be given an orientation regarding your stay in polar bear country. Your first day includes an afternoon of exploring the coastline in search of the "Great Ice Bear." (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included today)

Each afternoon, while at the Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, enjoy appetizer hour, followed by a tundra-inspired meal. During the evenings there will be informative lectures or slideshow presentations narrated by one of Churchill Wild's knowledgeable guides or staff. If it is a clear night you may also have a chance to view the spectacular Aurora Borealis. Churchill Wild staff will monitor the Aurora activity after dark and if conditions are optimal, they will provide a gentle wake-up call to ensure you don't miss any opportunities to witness and photograph this spectacular Arctic phenomenon.

Day 3-5 Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge | Nature Trekking + Wildlife Viewing Over the next few days, enjoy your hot breakfast while you outline a plan with your guides for the day's adventures. If there are bears near the lodge your tour may be delayed to take advantage of the photo and observation opportunities. There is always the option available for anyone to stay behind to take photos of the wildlife around the lodge and relax. The average day includes morning and afternoon excursions such as coastal or river delta exploration by walking or all-terrain vehicles. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included today)

Day 6 Churchill to Winnipeg | Flight + Winnipeg Tour After breakfast today you will depart on your flight back to Churchill. Once there, a representative will store your luggage while you spend the day with a guide exploring the area and learning about the history. Your tour will include stops such as the Parks Canada exhibit, the Itsanitaq Museum, the Polar Bear Jail and free time to yourself. In the evening, you will have one last group dinner before departing on your flight to Winnipeg. On arrival you will collect your bags, head out of the arrival doors and look to your right. The Grand Winnipeg Airport Hotel is located across the way and is just a two-minute walk. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included today)

Day 7 Winnipeg Departure | Tour Ends Today you will make your own way to the airport and fly home on your own travel arrangements, marking the end of your adventure.
