Czarina grew up in the Philippines, constantly on the move with her family, traveling from city to city and town to town.
This instilled in her a deep love for discovering new places — and trying local cuisines along the way! Her passion for travel and hospitality only intensified during a year travelling and working in the US.
Eager to broaden her understanding of the travel industry, she moved to Vancouver, where she unexpectedly found a new home that only deepened her love for exploration.
What is your favorite place in Canada?
Whistler! It’s not too far from Vancouver, and having lived there for almost three years, I’ve discovered some hidden gems that most tourists don’t know. This place is my sanctuary — it always brings me a sense of peace, and I absolutely love how the mountains have such a calming effect on me.
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
They say unplanned trips are the best, and I couldn’t agree more! My friends surprised me with a spontaneous road trip past Whistler and Pemberton. We decided to head down to "Duffey Lake Road," just over an hour from Whistler. With no rush and just taking in the views, we didn’t even notice we’d been driving for over two hours – meaning we probably passed our destination without realizing it. So, we decided to just follow the road to the nearest town and ended up in Lillooet, BC: a tiny town with a small population. It was an amazing day and a beautiful drive.
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
I truly believe that everyone should experience Canada’s mountains and wilderness at least once in their life. There’s something unique about Canada’s landscape and natural beauty that sets it apart from anywhere else.
