Born and raised in Montreal, Linda's passion for travel began at a young age when she traveled throughout Canada for competitive sports.
After graduating, she made her way across country by car, where she settled in Vancouver for nine years, studied Travel & Tourism and experienced beautiful British Columbia.
She now lives in Brockville, Ontario, City of the 1000 Islands and home to one of the best fresh-water diving locations in the world.
Linda is so excited to work at Discover Holidays as she can share her knowledge and passion for exploring Canada and everything it has to offer.
What is your favorite place in Canada?
Tofino and Ucluelet on Vancouver Island are pretty extraordinary places to visit and they offer a nice variety. Plus, the drive there is an experience in itself! I love the peace and solitude of beachcombing, watching surfers on Chesterman beach, hiking in Pacific Rim National Park, breathtaking coastal views, whale watching and of course enjoying a delicious west coast meal.
Tell us about a special discovery that you’ve made in Canada.
Niagara Falls, Ontario is a place I’ve visited many times in the warmer months, but never in the winter. Wow! Seeing the Falls and all the ice around from its spray is unbelievable. Just when you think they can’t look any more spectacular, at night they're lit up with beautiful colors and if you get to see fireworks, that’s even better.
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
Staying at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Old Quebec City in one of the tower Fairmont Gold Riverview rooms where my husband proposed. This is a magical place and the opulent Victorian architecture, luxury and its presence at the top of the cliff is why it’s one of the most photographed hotels in the world.
