Château Frontenac (the world's most photographed hotel) stands like a jewel in Quebec's crown, though the centuries-old architecture and surrounding historic sites certainly play their part in the beauty. The St. Lawrence River — a massive river cutting clean across Quebec — has been a part of the city’s economic landscape for over 400 years. Harbour and trade activities plus a large number of cruise ships testify to its importance, while a public market, park, bike path and shows bring the Vieux Port to life. While in the region, take a trip to Montmorency Falls. At 83 m high (30 m higher than Niagara Falls) these falls can be seen from across the St. Lawrence River, though the best views are from Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, where you can feel the full force —and spray— for yourself.
Stunning Country Drives Explore Quebec's extended beauty on a leisurely countryside drive. In the 19th century, this region looked very much like irresistible Île d'Orléans, complete with small villages, artisans and farm stands.
