Algonquin Park Guided Log Cabin Canoe Adventure

Day 1 Algonquin Provincial Park | ArrivalAt mid-day meet at the Voyageur Quest rendezvous location situated at the northwest corner of Algonquin Park. After lunch learn to paddle a canoe followed by a hike of Kitchie Island. Choose to return to the Log Cabin to relax or continue your adventure by paddling to Otter Bay for an introduction to the boreal forest, beaver ponds, and the Canadian Shield. Wind down the afternoon with a cool drink on the sundeck, dip in the lake, or unwind in the sauna. Feast on a Canadian dinner followed by a night paddle in a 26 foot Voyageur Canoe focusing on the sounds of Algonquin.

Day 2 Algonquin Provincial Park | ExploringThis morning hike to Lookout Bluff with a spectacular view overlooking the lakes of Algonquin. Return for lunch back at the Log Cabin and spend the afternoon relaxing, exploring Surprise Lake by canoe, swimming, fishing, or reading a book on the porch. Or, make your own Canadian memory out of materials surrounding the Log Cabin. Late afternoon paddle to a scenic campfire point for sunset, bonfire and cook out dinner. After dinner, learn about the northern sky as you paddle under the stars towards the Log Cabin.

Day 3 Algonquin Provincial Park | DepartureRise and shine for an amazing sunrise paddle through the morning mist. Search for moose or beaver lodges and take advantage of spectacular photography opportunities. Relax with a cook-out maple syrup breakfast and then return to Lodge for Canadian BBQ lunch, swim and sauna. Return to the canoe outpost mid-afternoon where your Canadian canoe adventure ends.

How Much Experience Do You Need? What Kind of Shape Do You Need To Be In?None! The “Algonquin Canoe and Log Cabin” is for people at any level of experience. Other than those guests returning to Algonquin Park after a long break, most of our guests are experiencing Algonquin Park for the first time. The pace is very relaxed, as the trip objective is to have fun, slow down and leave plenty of time to explore the beauty of the park. Guests should be able to be active for up to 4 hours at a time.
