Day 2 Halifax to Moncton, NB
Explore the Bay of Fundy and learn about the world’s highest tides as you follow its colourful coastline to New Brunswick. En route, visit the Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where exposed rock layers reveal the world’s most complete fossil record of life from the “Coal Age,” 300 million years ago. After crossing into New Brunswick, enjoy an unforgettable culinary experience with a lobster dinner aboard a lobster boat (a substitution may be necessary due to scheduling). Day 3 Moncton to St. John, NB
Experience a true natural wonder this morning at the Hopewell Rocks on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. Marvel at these massive flowerpot-shaped formations sculpted by the highest tides on the planet. Travel through Fundy National Park to Canada’s first incorporated city, St. John, on the southern New Brunswick coast. Enjoy a brief city tour, including the Reversing Falls, where twice daily the Bay of Fundy tides force the St. John River to reverse its flow. Day 4 St. Andrews by-the-Sea
Enjoy a day trip to picturesque St. Andrews by-the-Sea, where the quaint charm of this coastal town is sure to captivate. Day 5 St. John to Digby, NS
Ferry back to Nova Scotia today and arrive in Digby, the scallop capital of the world, where fresh sea air and passionate Acadian culture combine to create an enchanting and historically rich town. Check into the Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa, overlooking the Annapolis Basin on the Bay of Fundy. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6 Digby to Halifax
At the reconstructed Port Royal National Historic Site, learn about life in this early 17th-century French colony. Continue through the lush Annapolis Valley, where the French Acadians of Grand-Pré first settled. Discover why this landscape has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as fact and folklore blend in the romance of the Land of Evangeline. Visit a local winery for a tour and tasting before returning to Halifax for a two-night stay. (Breakfast)
Day 7 South Shore Touring
Discover the rustic charm of the renowned fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, where you will enjoy breakfast overlooking one of the world’s most photographed lighthouses. Continue along the South Shore to the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg, famous for her Grand Banks fishing schooners. Day 8 Halifax to Charlottetown, PE
Learn about the Mi'kmaq people at the Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre before crossing Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island. Check into your Charlottetown accommodation for a two-night stay and enjoy an evening theatre performance at the Confederation Centre of the Arts (a substitution may be necessary depending on the theatre schedule). Day 9 Prince Edward Island Touring
Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canadian Confederation, or join a complimentary walking tour of the city. In the afternoon, tour the scenic North Shore of the island. Drive past red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes, and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park. Day 10 Charlottetown to Baddeck, NS
Ferry across the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia, then proceed to Cape Breton Island, the “Scotland of North America,” via the Canso Causeway. Day 11 Cabot Trail Touring
Experience one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America as you tour the Cabot Trail, which winds around Cape Breton’s rugged northern shore and ascends to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Scenic lookouts provide unforgettable vistas of the island’s dramatic coastline. Day 12 Baddeck to Port aux Basques, NL
Visit the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, an extraordinary reconstruction depicting one-fifth of the 1744 settlement of New France. Day 13 Port aux Basques to Port au Choix
Drive through the Codroy Valley and Gros Morne National Park — to be explored in greater detail later — before reaching the fishing community of Port au Choix. Day 14 Port au Choix to L’Anse au Clair
Board the ferry at St. Barbe to cross the Strait of Belle Isle to Labrador. Continue to Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Basque whalers established a major station in the 16th century. This mystical place offers a fascinating glimpse into Labrador’s coastal history and culture. Overnight in Labrador. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 15 L’Anse au Clair to St. Anthony

Day 16 St. Anthony to Cow Head
Enjoy a morning whale-watching boat tour in St. Anthony, followed by a visit to the Grenfell Historic Properties, celebrating the remarkable work of Sir Wilfred Grenfell and his mission to improve the region’s social, medical, and economic conditions in the early 20th century. Day 17 Gros Morne Touring
Discover why Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered one of the highlights of Newfoundland. Visit the Tablelands, a rare mountain of earth’s mantle rock pushed to the surface, creating a dramatic, otherworldly landscape. The park’s scenery is unequaled in Eastern Canada. Please note: Passengers may request a booking to take a boat tour of Western Brook Pond and visit Broom Point Fishing Premises instead of the Bonne Bay tour and Tablelands. This option includes a 45-minute (3 km/2 mile) walk each way to the dock and must be requested at the time of booking.
Day 18 Cow Head to Gander
Bid farewell to Gros Morne National Park and travel through Central Newfoundland to Gander, famous as the inspiration for the hit Broadway musical Come From Away. Learn about the town’s extraordinary hospitality following the September 11, 2001 attacks, when 38 planes unexpectedly landed there. Visit the North Atlantic Aviation Museum, which chronicles Gander’s vital role in transatlantic aviation. (Breakfast)
Day 19 Gander to Clarenville
Travel along the rocky coast of Notre Dame Bay to the outport of Twillingate, where you will visit Prime Berth Fishery & Heritage Centre, a tribute to the province’s inshore fishery. Keep your camera handy for possible wildlife sightings as you continue through Terra Nova National Park en route to Clarenville, your home for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 20 Bonavista & Trinity Touring
Explore two of Newfoundland’s most historic towns. In Bonavista, where John Cabot first landed in 1497, learn about the challenging life of the lighthouse keepers at Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site. Day 21 Clarenville to St. John’s
Continue to the intriguing old seaport of St. John’s, your home for the next two nights. North America’s oldest city and Newfoundland’s capital is dramatically situated amid the granite cliffs and slopes of the Avalon Peninsula. Enjoy a guided city tour featuring Victorian architecture, the busy harbourfront, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Confederation Building, and panoramic Signal Hill. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 22 Local Touring
This morning, travel to Bay Bulls for a boat tour of the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, home to puffins and countless seabirds. Next, visit Cape Spear National Historic Site, the most easterly point in North America. The afternoon is free to explore lively St. John’s at your own pace. (Breakfast)
