Day 1 Vancouver to Sonora Resort | Helicopter
This afternoon transfer by helicopter or float plane to Sonora Resort on beautiful Sonora Island. The island is an absolute jewel amidst the wild beauty and pristine waters of British Columbia’s West Coast. Day 4 Vancouver to Kamloops | Rocky Mountaineer
All aboard Rocky Mountaineer for the scenic rail journey to Kamloops in the interior of British Colum-bia. Pass through the rich fields of the Fraser River Valley and the towering peaks of the Coastal Moun-tains before entering the Fraser Canyon. Follow the Thompson River through spectacular landscapes to historic Kamloops. (breakfast & lunch is included today)
Day 5 Kamloops to Jasper | Rocky Mountaineer
Back onboard the Rocky Mountaineer follow the Thompson River through rolling plateaus to the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. View Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Al-breda Icefields. Pass by Mount Robson, at 3954 metres, which is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper late afternoon. (breakfast & lunch is included today)
Day 6 Jasper to Banff | Sightseeing with picnic lunch
Your sightseeing tour today will encompass the ultimate glacier exploration as you travel along the spectacular Icefields Parkway. From walking on ancient ice at the Glacier Adventure (included), to standing on a glass platform almost one thousand feet in the air at the Glacier Skywalk (included), to-day’s experiences will leave you with a special appreciation for this treasured region of the Rockies. Day 7 Banff to Calgary | Morning Sightseeing + Gondola
This morning explore the natural wonders near the town of Banff on this half-day, small-group tour. Admire the unparalleled beauty of natural sights including Bow Falls, the surreal Hoodoos rock for-mation, and beautiful Lake Minnewanka, among others. Then Maximize your views of Banff National Park with minimal exertion during this round-trip gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Much too soon you leave the fresh mountain air and colourful sights of the Rockies. We will schedule an af-ternoon transfer that brings you to Calgary Airport to connect with your flight or to downtown Calgary.
Day 1 Calgary to Banff | Banff Sightseeing + Gondola
Depart downtown Calgary and travel west through the rolling foothills with the Canadian Rocky Moun-tains in the horizon. Upon arrival into Banff you will visit such points as Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoo rock formations, before a stop at the Banff Gondola. At the top of Sulphur Mountain spectacular views await from the 360 degree observation deck. Complete the day with a historical tour of Lake Minnewanka on the Lake Minnewanka Cruise. Leaving Jasper National Park, travel the ‘Yellowhead’ route past the sprawling grandeur of Mount Rob-son ‘the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies and follow the mighty Thompson River, the route of ear-ly fur traders, before arriving in Kamloops. Day 4 Kamloops to Vancouver | Rocky Mountaineer
Leaving Kamloops, follow the Thompson River through Ashcroft, one of Canada’s driest towns, with an average rainfall of just 18 centimetres. Pass through Rainbow Canyon, named for its cliffs striped with pinks, greens and greys creating a stunning rainbow effect. Continue on to the Fraser Canyon, where at Hell’s Gate watch water torrent past the canyon walls at its narrowest point. The last leg of the jour-ney takes you through the fertile farming region of the Fraser Valley to arrive in the Pacific port of Vancouver late afternoon. (breakfast & lunch is included today)
